Ballet, Biscuit, Bribe?

What do these three "b" words have in common? The three words come to English from French. There are many more.

If you love to dress in denim jeans (de Nime; a cloth from the south of France) or corduroy (cord du roi; cloth of the king), you are using French loan words.

Don't forget to put mayonnaise (from the town where it was first made) on your sandwich and a zest of lemon in your lemonade!
