this advice for aspiring writers:
"Choose easier words. Nothing is
more unpleasant than looking up words in dictionary a few times in
one sentence."
Sometimes, writers want to show off
their vocabulary, but as Masaru suggests, it is "unpleasant" to
need a dictionary frequently when reading.
It's good advice!
