Have the Guts to Cut

Two weeks ago, I mentioned Kurt Vonnegut's "How to Write with Style," which suggests that we "have the guts to cut."

Taking his words to heart, I worked on a 500-word piece written in conjunction with my two English classes this term.

My final word count is 484, but better fewer than too many words. You can read the essay, "Blackberry Picking at Jericho," at the teacher writing page. To see the edits made between the third and fourth drafts read this Word document.
