Tips for Writers by Brad Hyde (January 14, 2005)

Practice, Practice, Practice

Writing well requires practice. Just like an athlete, a writer needs to stretch, sprint, and cool down. Make it a practice to spend 10 minutes every day writing.

In this week's Writing Practice, students wrote for 10 minutes. Most of them wrote at least 50 to 75 words.

After you are comfortable with 10 minutes, try increasing your time to 20 minutes. Good luck!
