What Makes a Good Paragraph?

At Level’s 5 and 10, students are required to write multi-paragraph compositions (essays). To do so, good paragraph writing is essential. Today, students will write a good paragraph about good paragraph writing.
 

Please answer all the questions in one paragraph of about 100 words. Be sure to include a strong topic sentence about your general topic.

• What should writers do before beginning to use their pens? Give two examples.

• How can writers write more effective sentences? Give one example.

• What should writers do after finishing their first drafts? Give two examples.
