Examining the Example: Is it Specific and Complete?

In order to write a quality essay, examples are needed. Good quality specific examples, which contain complete information, will increase your content score on any writing test.

 

Group Discussion:

We will look at some of the sentences and examples from the student homework. Each one will be examined for its specificity and completeness.

Writing Practice:

Improve on the quality of two of your examples, according to what you’ve learned from our class discussion. If we have time, we will examine some of these student examples as well.

Homework:

Write three body paragraphs of about 80 words on your chosen topic.

Give three good, specific examples in each paragraph.

Make sure you have a strong topic and concluding sentence for each of the three paragraphs.
