Revising the Title, Introduction and Thesis

February 25 and 26, 2004

 

Today, we will examine a number of student examples of titles, introductions, and theses in order to help students with their structure. After our examination, students will rewrite the introduction to their essays.
 

Workshop:

Students will share their work on the screen for analysis, comment and improvement.

Class Work:

Work on revising the introduction to your essay. If you haven’t written an essay, see last week’s worksheet for instructions.

Please hand in your original essay and the revised introduction at the end of class tonight.

 

Homework:

There will be no homework this week! Take some time to review what you know about the essay.
