Free counselling and advising help is available to any student attending the Pearson Adult Learning Centre.  There are two kinds of counselling offered:

Jane Osborne, Personal Counsellor, has a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and has worked with adult students for 15 years.  Students can come to see Jane with any question, concern, or problem.  She provides help with personal difficulties in all areas including relationships, school, and work;   anything that is making it difficult for a student to focus on his or her studies!  She also helps students with forms and dealing with government agencies or offices, and finding other help and resources in the community.

Elaine Ward, Vocational Counsellor, has a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and has worked with adult students for 12 years.  Students can come to see Elaine with any questions about work, career options, and post secondary education.  She helps students choose a career path and has up to date information on college, university and other training programs, as well as job market trends.

Both Elaine and Jane offer information sessions, workshops, and groups on various topics.
