English 10
Kissing Your Way Around the World

August 1, 2001

Today, in class, we read a passage called "Kissing Your Way Around the World" which led us into discussion about different customs in different countries.

There is an expression that says, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." What do you think it means? Do you agree or disagree? Do you think it is always important to behave the way the natives do when you visit their country? Do you have a similar expression in your language?

Write a composition about this expression and your response to it. Hand it in to Louise's file in Room 184.
