This week, students will review the basic parts of the five paragraph, standard essay. We will set topics for a short essay based on our thoughts about the article, "Teaching and Learning," by Moira T. Carley.

How do the different parts fit together smoothly?

 

What does the article, "Teaching and Learning," suggest about Carley's subject? What is your opinion of her main points?

Essay:

Discuss three of Carley's points in three body paragraphs. Compare and contrast her opinions with your own.

Your thesis will be about how much (or how little, or how sometimes) you agree or disagree with Carley.

Write from 350 to 500 words. No more; no less.
