Reflections at the End of
At the end of a school year, I
often find myself reflecting on time and teaching.
This year, more than others I
have known, has been a trying time indeed. We have weathered
quite a few crises in the world, but even as I write, events
continue to shake my faith in humanity.
The learning centre, however,
is a place where my belief in the essential goodness of people
is reaffirmed daily. As Paul amply demonstrated in last week's
feature, Canada is proud to be a multicultural country. At the
PALC, our staff and students are examples of our country's
policies and fundamental beliefs.
So, I salute those of you who
wrote your first poem, your first essay, your first paragraph
this term. No matter where you've come from, or where you are
going, your effort makes my teaching work worthwhile. At the
end of this school year, I wish you all the best.
Remember, the PALC opens again
in July, and so I hope to see you all, working together and
helping us to make the next year at the PALC better than ever!
