Canadian Thanksgiving
Trudi's Weekly Feature

Canadian Thanksgiving will be celebrated this Monday, October 13th. It is different from American Thanksgiving in that we do not remember the Pilgrims but instead celebrate the harvest season.

Harvesting in Canada used to occur before harvesting in America. In Canada, Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate with family and friends. It is a time to celebrate with good food too. Traditional foods include things like turkeys, yams, sweet potatoes, and cranberries.

Take the time to enjoy your family, friends, and food.

Happy Thanksgiving from The Pearson Adult Learning Centre teachers!

Here are some facts and information about Canadian Thanksgiving

Need some help cooking your turkey? Or are you looking for thanksgiving recipes? The BC Turkey website can help you out.
