Canadian Thanksgiving will be celebrated this
Monday, October 13th. It is different from American Thanksgiving
in that we do not remember the Pilgrims but instead celebrate
the harvest season.
Harvesting in Canada used to occur before
harvesting in America. In Canada, Thanksgiving is a time to
celebrate with family and friends. It is a time to celebrate
with good food too. Traditional foods include things like
turkeys, yams, sweet potatoes, and cranberries.
