Cheryl's Weekly Feature

All too often we hear about a missing child. This is a parentís worst nightmare. National Missing Childrenís Day was established to raise awareness about child safety.

Child Find is established across Canada as a network of charitable, non-profit organizations that deliver services to families whose children go missing unexpectedly. Child Find is the oldest, largest and most comprehensive missing childrenís organization in Canada.

Child Find BC provides information and services to help keep children safe. One of these programs is free child fingerprinting. Child Find has fingerprinted approximately 1 million children in Canada. Child Find BC provides safety tips for children at home, in the neighbourhood and on the Internet.

Child Find Canada offers many services, including online photos of missing children.

Review some of the suggestions at these sites to help you keep your children safe. If you are interested in this cause, Child Find BC is always looking for volunteers and donations.

Remember to watch out for your children and the children of others. It takes a community to raise a child safely.
