New Westminster's Queens Park
Patricia's Weekly Feature

On a warm summer evening, historic Queens Park in New Westminster is a pleasant place to stroll and enjoy nature. A newly designed path winds around the park past meadows with tall waving grasses and on through shaded glens with towering old cedar, pine and fir trees. Soft soothing shades of green surround you. Scampering squirrels and rabbits cross your path as you wander along, while overhead robins, bluebirds and butterflies flutter. Tucked behind the arena is the colorful rose garden, a peaceful, fragrant place to sit quietly and rest after your stroll around this lovely park.
