Canadian Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday in October.
This year the Thanksgiving holiday will be Monday, October 11th.
It is different from American Thanksgiving in that we do not
remember the Pilgrims but instead celebrate the harvest season.
Harvesting in Canada used to occur before harvesting in America. In Canada,
Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate with family and friends. It is a time to
celebrate with good food too. Traditional foods include things like turkeys,
yams, sweet potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pie.
the time to enjoy your family, friends, and food.
