Summer Safety

Summer time means fun in the sun! Donít forget to practice safety during this season.

Itís easy to stay outside enjoying the sunny, warm weather. Sunburns often occur at this time of year. To prevent sunburns, remember not to stay outdoors too long and never leave tender skin exposed for more than a few minutes at a time. Learning about first aid for sunburns and heat stroke ahead of time may also be helpful. Find out more at Saint John Ambulance

Safety should also be practiced with summer activities such as bicycling, hiking, and camping.

The Safety Council provides tips for safety in the great outdoors, biking, water safety, and sun safety. There are also quizzes to test your knowledge.

For a variety of summer safety tips ranging from food safety to sunglasses to tornadoes, visit Safe Canada, an informative site.

Have a wonderful and safe summer!
