Health Information on the Web
Pat's Weekly Feature

Have you tried to find reliable health information on the Internet? Often, such a search results in information that is not really accurate or relevant.

The Canadian Health Network, a non-profit organization helping Canadians stay healthy and prevent disease, is a good resource for information that you can trust. People can access many important topics such as healthy eating, injury and disease prevention, and mental health, or they can search for any specific information.

Each month, interesting features are available. For example, in August, you can read more about the following: Water Safety: Tips to Prevent Drowning, Alcohol and Your Health, and Public Health Updates on West Nile Virus and Avian Influenza.

In addition, access to previous articles is available. From the Canadian Health Network, you can link to other reputable health organizations across Canada.

Try the Summer Fun Quiz from the new Canada Health Website, which can also be accessed from the Canadian Health Network.
