Canada's New Food Guide

Did you know that there is now a new Canada Food Guide which was recently updated? The new Canada Food Guide encourages people to eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains while limiting intake of foods that are high in calories, fat, sugar and salt.

It also suggests different intakes for men and women, gives clear guidance on portion sizes and includes food from culturally diverse cuisines. The most impressive feature of this new Food Guide is that there is an interactive tool called "My Food Guide" which allows people to customize the Food Guide according to personal food preferences, age and gender.
