Various activities, such as story time sessions and author readings, will be held province wide during Family Literacy Week. As well, to celebrate Family Literacy Day 2009, many libraries nationwide will host public, 30-minute readings on January 23 and/or 24 in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “Most Children Reading with an Adult, Multiple Locations."
