Kung Hei Fat Choy! Happy New Year!

Chinese New Year will be celebrated on February 3rd, 2011. This is the Year of the Rabbit. There are many interesting things to know and learn about Chinese New Year.  The Chinese calendar starts with the Spring Festival. It lasts for 15 days. During this time, families make it a point to get together for a feast where many special dishes are served. People wear red clothes and hang red decorations all around the house. Children look forward to this celebration as they are given red envelopes of lucky money. Chinese New Year celebrations are fun filled and very exciting.
